Donna Marie Woods, 75, passed away at CareOne at Redstone on January 17, 2026. The daughter of the late Edna M. (Meserve) and William J. Woods, Donna was born on June 15, 1950 in Dover, NH. She attended Holy Name School, was a graduate of Chicopee High School and received her LPN and later her RN degree from STCC. Donna was a nurse for 50 years. She worked for 41 years at Wesson Women's Hospital/Baystate Medical Center – 29 years in Neo-Natal ICU, and 12 years in Oncology. The last 9 years she worked for Vibra, in Springfield, and retired as a shift supervisor at Heritage Woods, in Agawam. As well as caring for people, Donna also like caring for animals. She was a loving cat mom of many years to her quirky Calico, Annie. Donna loved shopping, form sunrise to sunset, it didn't matter if it was at the mall, an outlet center, online, or at the Big E. There was never a deal she could resist. Her home away from home has always been in Old Orchard Beach, ME, where she recently purchased her dream condo. Donna is survived by her partner of more than 26 years, Rosemary Volponi, her brother Michael Woods and his wife, Lynn, and their daughter, Allyson Woods, all of Portland, ME, along with many dear friends. In addition to her parents, Donna was predeceased by her brother, Joseph T. Woods. Funeral services for Donna will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, beginning at 10:00am at Corridan Funeral Home, 333 Springfield St., Chicopee, MA. A prayer service will be held at 11:00am, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery, Chicopee. Calling hours will take place at the funeral home on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
