Donnie Clelland

Donnie M. Clelland, 80, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 8:48 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Fort Madison Community Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1935 in McAlester, OK to Marian Clelland. He married Ruth Ann Meitz on May 5, 1957 in Las Vegas, NV. He worked in maintenance for the City of Rialto, CA and also for the Fort Madison Community Schools. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. He collected Elvis memorabilia, whiskey bottles, coins, stamps & antique glassware. Don is survived by: his wife: Ruth Ann Clelland of Fort Madison, IA; 3-sons: Michael (Debbie) Clelland of Houston, TX, Danny (Diane) Clelland of Elk Grove, CA & Keith (Madeliene) Clelland of Sacramento, CA; 2-granddaughters: Natasha (Michael) Atwood of Fort Madison, IA & Mikala Clelland of Houston, TX; 2-great grandsons: Kyle Menke & Kobe Atwood; 5-half sisters & 1-half brother. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1-son in infancy & 1-brother. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2015 with the funeral to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. all at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fort Madison with Rev. Steve Rasmussen officiating. Burial will be held at Soldiers' Circle in Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Our Savior Lutheran Church.
