Donny Orrand

Donny Lane Orrand age 67 of Alexandria, died Sunday morning, March 22, 2026 at his residence. Born Feb. 11, 1959 in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Wilson and Willie Barrett Orrand. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy and David Orrand; grandmother, Daisy Barrett and nephews, Freddie, Doyle and Timmy Bates.

Donny is survived by his companion of 44 yeas, Barbara Garner Orrand of Alexandria; daughters, Jennifer Schwan and Samantha Barnes both of Carthage and Rebecca Orrand of Lafayette; step-children, Michelle (A.J.) Ragan of Lafayette, Timothy Morgan of Oxford, MS and Christopher Morgan of Alexandria; 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Bobbie Bates of Indiana and brothwer, Teddy (Lou) Orrand of Lafayette; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Hunter Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Mathis officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Hunter Memorial Park.
