Not sure what to say?

May the God of all comfort grant you peace at this difficult time.

I met Donovan at Lewis & Clark College. I would like to send my condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Donovan taught me to stand up for what you believe in and never stop fighting for social justice. RIP.

It was his fierce dedication to all that was righteous , all that was good, and all that was wildly fun, that made such an impression on me. I have lessons I learned from him that are with me now, and will be forever. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends. He is in my heart forever.

Donovan was a rare mix of scholar and wit and a great colleague, especially on work related to raising student achievement in low-performing schools. His sense of humor made his deep knowledge of policy very accessible and we relied on his insight on a range of issues. Rest in peace.

I knew Donovan from Lewis and Clark college. He was a joy to be around. Fun, funny and wickedly smart. Much love to his friends and family. He is well remembered now and always.

Donovan King was one of the most ebullient spirits, and funniest guys, I have ever known. I can only imagine the fierce intelligence of his daughters. RIP Uncle Don.

My condolences to your family. Thank you so much for your work with the NEA and all you've done for teachers. I'm also a Badger, so we had a few things in common. My thoughts and prayers go especially to Angeline, my student at Poolesville High School.

We knew Donovan during grad school at Cornell. He was funny, compassionate, and incredibly smart. Some people journey through your life at certain times for special reasons. Thank you, Lord, for our short walk with Donovan. He was a bright light.
