miss u Donovan

I remember once we were sitting on the porch watching the children do flips. He turned to me and said" I can do that too ms Landin. I told him he was too old, and he said watch. I saw those long legs fly in the air and come down like a pile of rocks. We were all laughing until he tried to get up. He had broken his leg. He looked at me and said "I guess you were right Ms Landin, Iam too old.

Donovan is the first thing on my mind when I wake up, I think about him throughout the day and before I lay down to sleep. After Starr, I just never imagined that my sister would have to experience this kind of loss too. But God knows and He gives us strength that we'd never imagine we could have. Thank God for all the wonderful memories.

me, daddy, and brandon

Donovan was my daddy, and I am so happy to have had him as my father. He was so funny, and caring, and he really did love his family. I will always remember when he used to pick me up from school, and we would sing "By Your Side" by Sade on the way home. And when it was hot out, he would always take us to get ice cream, and take multiple licks off of our cones saying that he was testing it for poison, but wasn't sure about his first test. He will live on in our hearts forever. I love and miss...

I remember when you used to train my kids for basketball. You had so much compassion for the kids and what you were doing with them. You will be deeply missed Donovan, I hope and pray that you are resting in peace.

Sheila, Ms. Juanita, Carla and Felicia: May the love of friends and family substain you during your loss. Donovan was a good person. Please remember -1 Samuel 16:7...The Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. Be blessed and hang on to the memories. For another soldier has gone home. with love, Barbara Hollis-Lawson and family.

I'm seldom at a loss for words, but losing Donovan has left me speechless. He was kind, loving and funny. For some reason, he preferred "surprising" me as opposed to letting me know in advance that he was coming for a visit. One time he showed up at my job with this big smile on his face. He knew, he'd made my day. I love you Donovan...you and Starr behave up there.
