I've known Dorcas for many years and I'm going to miss seeing her on Sundays coming to play her numbers at Yorktown Liquor. She was a very strong woman and we had some pretty good chats on her illness. I told her if anyone could beat this cancer, that she would be the person. I never met her son, but I will say she talked about him often and loved him very much. I would always buy Dorcus a lotto ticket and told her she was going to win.
