Doreen was born on April 1, 1940 in Bras d'Or, Nova Scotia and entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2015. Doreen is lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband Bill; son Shaun (Mimi); daughter Natasha (Marc) and grandchildren Joshua and Tori. A Memorial Service will be held at FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 St NW, Calgary on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made directly to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website www.fostersgardenchapel.ca. FOSTER'S GARDEN CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM. Telephone: 403-297-0888. We have only today learned of Doreen's unexpected passing. We have left Calgary and are now living in Nova Scotia. I remember talking to Doreen several times about both of us being born "down east". She was such a lovely lady and I always looked forward to seeing her at social functions. She was always so friendly and fun-loving. The next time we pass the Bras d'or Lakes I will say a prayer for her. In the meantime, Bill, please know that we are thinking about you and your family during this very sad time. Even though we have known you both for many years, we didn't really get to spend much time together until last year. I am so very saddened to hear of Doreen's passing. I had the privilege of working with Doreen for 15 years on Unit 42. She was loved by all who worked with her.
