Not sure what to say?

October 08, 2010
Doreen Spitzer was an inspiration to me in the summer of 1946 when I lived with her family in Hamden CT as a household helper while earning money for my freshman year at the Univ. of Conn. 1946/47.
When I married in 1950, she gave me "somthing old" to wear in the form of a bracelet with a Greek coin in the center. I cherish those memories and more!!!

I remember, when I was a graduate student, Doreen invited me to the Spitzer's house for a play reading. She xeroxed copies of the play and we each read a part. It was "The Importance of Being Earnest"--what fun! And how typical of her joie de vivre. She was a great lady!

Your were loved by many and will be missed by all.
Miss you lots!!!

Doreen was a wonderful friend and inspiration to so many. Her love of life and the beauty therein, lingers with us even while she moves on. Our love to her family. Lenore Danielson (Rocky Hill, NJ)

Doreen became a valued friend and was always more gracious than one could expect. She will be missed, never forgotten.
