Not sure what to say?

So sorry for your loss May her memory be eternal

Couldn’t tell you what day it was
It was certainly Freshman year
We both with strong mothers
Sisters coming out of our ears

So many great times
Some awful times too
Didn’t matter how much time had passed
Our friendship was always true.

Until we meet again. I love you.

How lucky we were to be sisters. You always kept us from taking ourselves too seriously and only saw the good in each of us. Steve and Nicholas, my heart aches for you. You were her life. Cindy, Debbie, Dawn and Michelle, I cannot imagine what you are feeling. I love you all and I am so thankful you all have such wonderful and fun memories of Dorrie.

HEY LADY!!!!!!! Remembering all the fun get togethers & great times we had through the years. Until we meet again my friend, as we are eternal. God bless, Scooter

To Steve and Niko and the Thorne and Van Buren families: my deepest sympathies to all of you upon the incredibly sad loss of your beloved Dorrie. Dorrie and I first met at age 20, playing softball for many teams, first Mayer´s Cafe, O´Connell´s Tavern and Danny Boy´s Tavern (I see a trend here!). We also played double-headers on Sundays in Lakewood for Newman´s Corner and we had a blast and won a few championships with all the teams. Dorrie was a lot of fun and a good friend and we had...

I will always remember Dorrie as a sweet, kind, fun-living woman. Whenever I think of her, she is laughing & always willing to lend you a hand. I am going to miss her so much

Our deepest sympathies to Steve and Niko and the entire Thorne family on the incredibly sad loss of Dorrie. Our hearts are broken for all of you, but we remember the fun times we had with Dorrie over many years. From playing softball for Mayer´s Cafe, O´Connell´s Tavern and Danny Boy´s Tavern (I see a trend here!), to many fun weekends at Put-in-Bay with The Pig Club gals then returning on the Sunday morning ferry to play double-headers for Newman´s Corners (and winning them!)! Don´t know...

I worked with Dori at PPG for over Thirty years. She was always Happy and Fun to be with. The Heaven´s have gained another Angel. Condolences to the Family.

So sorry to hear the news. Deepest sympathy to the families. Our families lived on W. 127th where we all (girls) grew up together, many fond memories!
