Not sure what to say?

Dear Dorian's family,
I was extremely shocked to learn of Dorian's passing. I found out through the local paper (the Observer) where they made mention of "the late Dorian Pelaez." I couldn't believe it. Many times he and I would catch the same train home (S. Chicago Line) and would just say hi - his smile never changed. I didn't think the reason why I didn't see him any more was because of this. I, too, went to school with Dorian (SFDS), we graduated that great year of 1976. He...

Dear Rosa, I am so very sorry to hear about Dorian. Please accept my deepest sympathies for you and your family. He will be missed.

On behalf of BlueCross and BlueShield please except our condolences on the loss of Dorian. Please call me directly if I can be of any help to you my number is 1 800 731 2090 ext 2811.

When I heard of my old friend's passing I just could not believe it. I was fortunate to run into him at a festival in Homewood a few years ago and he looked the same as when I'd last seen him around 1993. He introduced me to his beautiful family and we couldn't have been happier to see each other. We went to SFDS high school then had the opportunity to work together later on. We went to our 10 year high school reunion together and had a blast. I moved out of state but often wondered about...

May memories of the joyful moments shared bring you and your family comfort. I first met Mr. Pelaez when I was named queen of the Mexican Patriotic Club. I have vivid memories of him smiling, with his daughters always by his side. At the beginning of this month, I was fortunate to see him again, smiling and waving, as he continued to travel with his daughters. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Dearest Rosa, Alexis, and Catalina - Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. I pray for you today and all the days ahead. As time goes on, I hope the pain you bear today will slowly be healed by happy memories of your life with Dorian. There could never be a more loving and devoted husband and father. I feel fortunate to be among the hundreds of people that were Dorian's friends. He was special while on this earth, and I know he is in Heaven watching over us all.

Ms. Pelaez, Catalina and Alexis, our deepest sympathy for your loss. My kidz were deeply upset to hear about Mr. Pelaez, especially my daughter Julisa. During communion rehearsals and taking the ride to pick up the communion dress in the suburbs and dropping him back off at work my daughter would always say what a nice and happy couple you two were. She remember every bit of the long ride that you both were so kind to give her. They learn to have a special feeling towards you and your family....

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Before starting a new project at Blue Cross last September, I had not seen Dorian since we worked together 12 years earlier. Dorian had changed little over those years; even nerved and always part of the solution. Countless others and I are blessed for having known Dorian and my deepest sympathies are with you.
