Not sure what to say?

I remember Dorie from middle school. We were in Oliver together. She had a great smile and was always so much fun to be around! Miss her dearly. Rich Welcovitz.

Wow. 7 years.

I often think of Dorie especially when a person in the prime of their life leaves this earth. Dorie was a light that shone brightly. I can see her with her amazing bread in Kendrick Park. I often ride by, look to the right and think of her.

My husband, Mark, held back the news of Dorie's passing in January--I was away in India, and he thought it best to tell me in person on my return, yesterday. Very thoughtful, as is right for this truly tragic news.
I first saw/heard/met Dorie through her lovely, soaring voice and singing at an Early Music concert in South Hadley. I became a fan. I have heard her sing many times since-- always beautiful. I discovered Dories' baker side (and what a side it is) only when the South Hadley...

Hummm I have a few photos of Dorie from the 80s that I wanted to post , ...however the "copy" function works but not the"paste"... If anyone would like them emailed or texted email me at paddingtonmatz(at gmail dot com)

Oh dear oh my...the reality is truly settling in...as aweful as the occasion was...it was wonderful to hear and see so many Wonderful folks from the past as well as present and to "get" the wealth of people who had the great fortune to have been a part of Dories oh way way too short life! I see here that one can add photos and I found a few at my office this week of Doire in the 80s that I will try to post..i believe they are from a lcome and make your holiday gifts for family and friends...

Dear Eskil and Jakob,
You were the apple of your mother's eye. We will miss Dorie's energy which came from loving you guys so much. We send our deep thoughts of sadness to you and your family as we remember Dorie's many strengths.

I can hardly say how moved I have been to read these messages. I do not have words to say what Dorie meant to me or what I have lost, what we have all lost. It would be wonderful to hear from anyone who has stories or reminiscences and would like to write. Time goes by, but nothing eases; I can never imagine a world without Dorie.

Beloved Dorie, singing companion, source of bread and fun, inspiration and strength, I will continue to miss you terribly as we all try, unimaginably, to go on without you. Heartfelt condolences and prayers for your family and loved ones--so many hearts are breaking along with theirs.
