Doris J. Ball (nee Wilhelm)

Ball, Doris J. (nee Wilhelm), passed away, Saturday, January 19, 2013.

Beloved wife of James D. "Don" Ball; devoted mother of Tracy Ann Reeves and James "Brooks" (Suzie) Ball; loving grandmother of Lindsey (Brett) Katz, Sarah Reeves and Sam & Annie Ball; dear sister of Betty (Raymond) Ream and the late James Wilhelm; loving aunt and wonderful friend to many.

Doris was a long time member of Manchester United Methodist Church. She was a very giving person throughout her life, including 25 years of volunteer service at St. Luke's Hospital. Doris will be lovingly remembered for her ability to care for others and celebrate the simple goodness in life. She graciously and kindly touched the lives of so many who were blessed to call her family or friend.

The family especially appreciates the loving care given by Birgit Kress to Doris during her final years.

Services: Memorial service at Manchester United Methodist Church Historic Chapel, 129 Woods Mill Rd., Friday, January 25, 11:00 a.m. Interment private. Memorial visitation also in the Chapel Friday 10:00am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to Manchester UMC or a charity of your choice. Arrangements are being made by Schrader Funeral Home & Crematory.
