Doris A. Bowe, 80, a resident of Clairemont Nursing & Rehabilitation in Eau Claire died Monday, January 9, 2012 at the home. She was born June 14, 1931 in Bloomer, the daughter of Paul and Agnes (Hable) Kramschuster. Doris graduated from Bloomer High School and worked in food service at the Golden Age Home in Chippewa Falls for many years. On May 29, 1952, she married Orville J. Bowe at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Bloomer. She was a member of St. Charles Church. Doris loved to golf, crocheting and ceramics and really enjoyed watching all the kids play ball. She was also very active at St. Charles Church. Doris is survived by: three sons, Gregory J. (Carol) Bowe of Jim Falls, Scott (Jackie) Bowe of Prairie du Sac, Wis. and Patrick (Marsha) Bowe of Boise, Idaho; three daughters, Deborah A. (Dr. Caesar) Gonzaga of Eau Claire, Deonne (Jeff) Balsiger and Denise White (Eric Stolp) both of Jim Falls; three brothers, Francis (Sharon) Kramschuster of Mora, Minn., Robert (Eileen) Kramschuster of Chippewa Falls and Lee (Joyce) Kramschuster of Bloomer; two sisters, Alice Kramschuster of Milwaukee and Madonna (Rev. Richard) Schwerin of St. Paul, Minn.; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Orville on February 10, 1995; her parents; and one sister, Sister Lucy Kramschuster. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 at St. Charles Church in Chippewa Falls. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery in the town of Tilden. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 12 and until 10 a.m. Friday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 4 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. The family prefers memorials in Doris's name to the St. Charles Trust Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
