Not sure what to say?

I just read the local newspaper and saw that Doris had passed. I knew both Doris and Calvin well; I sold their home and Doris's Mother's home several years back. They were just the happiest couple together whether on their RV, showing me all the photos of their grand children, or just sitting next to each other -- they were such a special couple. Doris remained strong after losing Calvin and during her battle with ALS -- and her smile never waned. One of the prettiest smiles I've ever seen....

Heaven was blessed today as Doris entered the gates. You will be well remembered for your courage and for the love that you extended to others. The family of Curtis Putnam has a special place in their hearts for Doris who helped our mom, Joyce, when our dear Dad went to heaven. We will see you again someday Doris!

I always enjoyed visiting with Doris, her courage thru this last couple of years is an inspiration to all. She will be greatly missed by all the people she touched in life.

What a true friend to the 4-H youth! Doris will certainly be missed and remembered as an outstanding and courageous woman. We certainly want to lift up the Zvacek family during this difficult time. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

I've known and cared for Doris for 35 years. She went to school with my deceased husband. The grace and courage she exhibited in fighting this disease is an example for all of us. I'll miss her!

Doris lost the ability to speak words clearly but she spoke volumes with her beautiful eyes and engaging smile. She was a true friend. We treasured her friendship and will miss her.
Our deepest sympathy and love,
Betty & Gail

I have fond memories of our high school years in Maysville. We were the "49ers."

I'll miss your e-mails and telephone calls.............

Doris was a dear friend. My husband and I met her when we joined the Heart of America Champs camping club and we enjoyed her company for several years. She was a joy to know and she will be missed.

Rest in Peace Doris. Your pain is over now.
