Doris Ann Culp

Memorial service for Doris Ann Culp, 71, will be Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Eddie Forbus officiating. Mrs. Culp died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. he was the owner of The Book Nook in Sylacauga. She was an avid genealogist in the Native American Indian connection. She was secretary for Pigsept of the Shawnee Tribe. Mrs. Culp enjoyed assisting local schools with required reading materials on the Native American Indians. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jimmy Culp of Sylacauga; sons, Reay Culp, wife Phyllis of Rockford and Michael Allan Culp of Sylacauga; daughters, Karen Centers, husband David of McCalla, Tracey McClellan, husband Barry of Sylacauga, Donna Scroggins, husband Adian of McCalla and Michelle Culp Smith, husband Stan of Sylacauga; sisters, Laverne Laird of Clyde,TX, Charlotte Stennett of Helena, AL and Charlene Nelms of Jacksboro, TX; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Wednesday July 16, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
