Doris P. Downey

I found this obituary on a really neat lady I spent time with as a kid. What a nice tribute. I remember spending lots of time with Doris when I went on trips with my cousin Joyce and my Aunt Lora Ann who was Doris's sister. She was always very generous and welcomed me into her home. I had forgotten that she worked for Centura as well. My condolescences go out to the Downey family.

I so respected everything about Doris. It was a privilege and honor to know and work with Miss Doris. She was the most fair person I've ever encountered in my nursing career. Her insight and words of encouragement will always be with me. I feel so honored that Doris would confide in me and share her innermost guidance. Aunt Doris will be missed dearly by all. She was a thoughtful and giving person who I loved dearly. May she rest in peace.
