Doris was a longstanding and dedicated employee of the Eden Lutheran Preschool in Riverside, California, where she worked hard to instill a love of learning, strong morals, and a spirit of motivation and determination in her students.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents, Willie P. Mathis Sr. and Lizzie Mae Mathis; her sister Joyce Olivia Link, and her brother Opree O'Dell Mathis. Doris is survived by her husband Willie C. Dunigan, Crystal Wiley, Tashara Bernard, Adrianna Wiley and Lorena Wiley; her brother Willie Paul Mathis Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; her sisters Ethel Jewel Adams of Nashville, Tennessee; Wilma Kay McKay of Tallahassee, Florida; Victoria Margaret Wiley of Memphis, Tennessee and Mary Elizabeth Bailey of Leesburg, Florida.
