Not sure what to say?

Ciao Doris,

I remember Mrs Foreman not as a teacher, because my French teacher was a Mrs Dickson, but as the warden of the boarding house in East Suffolk Road from 1956 to 1959 (yes, I'm that old!). She was always very fair-minded and quite strict too, but she was blessed with a good sense of humour as well and went a long way to making the school trip to Paris in 1958 an informative and enjoyable one. I'm sure she will be sadly missed by everyone who knew here both at St Margarets and elsewhere.

Thanks to her wonderful teaching which I draw upon to this day to translate for French speaking visitors at the John of God Center in Abadiania Brazil.
Rest In Peace Merci de mon cur

Very sad to read the news of Mrs Foreman's passing. An inspirational, and always very entertaining, much-loved French teacher and family neighbour who inspired my lifelong love of languages. A best friend to my late mother Ruth for many years. Rest in peace, Doris. Kindest sympathy to Michael. Rhona Sharples (nee Fraser)

RIP Mrs Foreman

Thank you Mrs Foreman for my love of the French language and life long memories of a truly lovely, kind and wonderful teacher. RIP with fondest love, Deborah Neil, Cheshire.

Mrs Foreman, I will always be grateful for your enthusiastic teaching, for me - French and for our daughter Amy - Italian tips and encouragement. you were charming, kind, funny and talented. Rest in peace.

Mrs Forman, thank you for the many lovely memories from the trip to Paris in 64 and all those years you bravely put up with my dreadful French.

Mrs Foreman was an inspiring kind teacher. May she R.I.P.
