My favorite teacher from Stone School: maybe ever. I was able to call and tell her that when I was in my 40's. Thanks, Frank, for sharing this with me.

Doris was a good friend and I shall miss her. She was always ready to "put up with my nonsense". Silver Maples isn't the same without her.

Frank,
I remember my piano lessons from your mom. She made the best popcorn balls at Halloween. How fortunate you are to have had her in your life for so long.
Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

Frank, your Mom was such a wonderful person. I have so many fond memories of your Dad and Mom. They were so patient with Bev and I when we played bridge together. Your Mom was my fifth grade teacher at Sunflower and I will always remember the day your Dad came home on leave and I watched my teacher kiss her husband through the window on our classroom door. I couldn't believe that my teacher would kiss a man. My sympathies to you and your family.
My love.

Frank, your Mom was my most favorite person in the world. I can remember as a child thinking, "If only I can grow up to be like her!" She was a wonderful role model who was a great listener and teacher and it was always a treat to be in her presence. Although I didn't get to see her frequently she was always a huge part of my life. Our love, Bev and Harv

Doris and my Mom, Dotte Guider, enjoyed a wonderful friendship at Silver Maples. My Mother visited daily and they talked of family,"the good ole days" and their shared love of teaching and children. I had the privilege of sharing visits with Doris many times. She was a wonderful, insightful lady. My thoughts and prayers are extended to her family. I know already how much my Mother misses her company and friendship. She touched many lives.

"Mrs Green" was my son's tutor for a number of years after her retirement, and our families became friends. She was a fine teacher, a great lady, and a just wonderful good person. Our sympathies to Frank and his family. Roger, Barbara, Christopher, and Sarah King
