Not sure what to say?

Doris was our next door neighbor in Old Orchard for over 30 years. She has always been a treasure as a neighbor, but also one of the most interesting people we've known. Even at 100 years of age, Doris continued to have interesting, relevant discussions on current events. We miss you Doris, we'll never know another neighbor as amazing as you! Our love and sympathy to Doris's family. Barry and Leslie Burnham

I first met Mrs. Hedler 22 years ago through their daughter, Carol, who was my wife's best friend. Over the years we had several conversations during which I experienced what an amazing lady she truly was. She was always upbeat and had such a calm demeanor. And her intelligence was always evident in the articulate way she expressed herself. Condolences to family and friends. Please find solace knowing there is a special place in heaven for such a caring person.

My family has known the Hedlers for a long-long time, as my parents, Don & Vivian Sollman were friends at Ashland Church. I knew the Hedler kids from church and Boy Scouts. In later years I worked with Bob ("Speckle Toes") at Owens-Illinois. No finer engineer to be found.
Doris - Though you could not know her without realizing she is a truly amazing person, I was unaware of just how much contribution she made to society, and not just Toledo area either!

Yes, indeed Mrs. Hedler touched thousands of lives. Mine was one of them as I rented a room at the Robinwood home. Her words were taken to heart, reflected on, and gave me courage to move forward.

Sincere Condolences,
