Doris K. Jensen, 86, of East Bangor, PA, passed away Saturday, May 26th, at Gracedale, Northampton County Home, Nazareth, PA.
Doris was born in Stone Church, PA on August 15, 1931, a daughter of the late Lyman and Annie (Hess) Kern.
Doris was employed as a cook for Bangor Area School District in Upper Mt. Bethel Twp., PA, until retiring. She was a 1949 graduate of Bangor High School. Doris enjoyed spending her time gardening and making flower arrangements.
She was a member of Flicksville United Church of Christ in Bangor, PA. Doris was also a member of the Blue Valley Garden Club and a former member of the East Bangor Fire Co. Ladies Aux.
Doris is survived by a daughter, Rebecca Patterson, of 29 Palms, CA; two sons, Robert J Davis husband of Adelaide of Bangor, PA; Mark R. Davis, of East Bangor, PA, 5 grandchildren; Michelle, Brittany, Jennifer, Angela, Alexandra; 9 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Anna Brown, Ethel Reagle, Mary Sayer and 3 brothers; Claude, Bill, & Lyman Kern.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, May 31st at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Friends are invited to call 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, May 30th at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Centreville Cemetery, Stone Church, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flicksville United Church of Christ, 1337 Lower South Main Street, Bangor, PA 18013 or East Bangor Vol. Fire Company, 30 East Central Ave., East Bangor, PA 18013.

Also to many years she worked as an Avon sales representative.

So sorry to read of you Mom's passing.She is at peace with the Lord now. I knew her for many years, before you guys were born.She was my Avon lady for many years. WE belonged to EB Fire Co.Axilliary and Paraded in the Fire Co.Parades for a long so we used to have alot of fun and laughs over the years & that is how I will remembr her. God Bless all of you.
