Doris Jones

Doris Jones, 74, Galax, VA died Aug. 8, 2013 at the Golden Living Nursing Home in Galax.
She was born Sept. 18, 1938 in Grayson County to the late Bruce and Gladys Hawks Wright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Jones.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Delia Porter of Galax; one grandson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alyse Bryant of Salem, Peggy Truitt of Elon, N.C., Betty Holder of Mt. Airy, N.C., Nancy and Larry Johnson of Galax, Sue and Jack Lineberry of Galax, and Maxine Robertson of Elon; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Roberta of Galax, Hascal and Ann Wright of Galax, Don and Susie Wright of Ft. Stewart, Ga., Jack and Barbara of Galax, Bill and Barbara Wright of Providence, and Dale Wright of Rural Retreat; and 30 nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was held Aug. 11, 2013 at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home Chapel in Galax with burial in the Wright Cemetery. The Rev. Ted Bartlett officiated.
