Not sure what to say?

Doris had a fierce zest for living and loving deeply. I will always remember our laughter and tears at Atascadero Jr High.

She fueled my love of history in AJHS and I loved that! She was another of my amazing teachers who helped me down the path to become a teacher! Sending much love to the family and prayers of comfort!

Doris and I taught together for many years and became life-long friends. We met for lunch for many years after our retirements. Doris practiced her Christian beliefs, working with the homeless and having prayer groups in her home. She was an inspiration to many. The world is a better place because of Doris! Rest in peace dear friend. I will miss you very much! Beryl Bennett

Doris and I taught together at Atascadero Jr High for many years. Not only was she an excellent teacher and counselor, but was also a wonderful friend. We got together often for lunch for many years, even when we were in our 90´s! Doris loved abundantly, and reached out to the less fortunate, working with the homeless and practicing her Christian beliefs in many ways. The world is a better place because of Doris Larson! I will miss her more than I can begin to say. Rest in peace Doris!...

What a loving tribute to a such a remarkable and wonderful person. I am honored to have known her and will cherish the memories of our time teaching together at AJHS. How fortunate for the family to have had her in their lives for so many wonderful years.

I only worked with Doris for four years and I was a new teacher trying to understand how to be a good teacher. Doris was kind, encouraging and supportive. My conversations with her helped shape my relationships with my students. I enjoyed her immensely. Her comments always touched my heart.

As close to an angel that you would ever meet. Dorie could spoon out tough love. And then could hug you like a Momma Bear. She leaves a legacy.

Wow! One of the best teachers ever! I dont remember all my teachers , just the best ones, and she was at the top of the list ! So happy to hear she lived a long and fruitful life! She will be missed! Cris Hansen , class of 1981....
