Not sure what to say?

Thanks to all of you who wrote. We have been so proud to have Mom remembered by so many and to have her many achievements acknowledged. We loved her so much and we miss her. Emily

Dear Henry and Family,

I am sure that there is very little that we can add to the tributes that Dorrie has and will receive in the coming weeks. She had our deep and unqualifed respect as a friend, neighbor and School Board President. Our sympathy and love to you all.

Emily ~ I knew that your mother was an amazing woman who was active in the civil rights movement. After reading the link Amaya sent I am simply amazed at ALL she did. I am sorry I never had a chance to meet her; clearly I missed an opportunity to learn from a remarkable woman. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone in your family.

Dorrie leaves a wonderful legacy of social justice work. I'll always be grateful to her for bringing my dear friend Martha into the world. Our prayers go out to the Leader family at this sad time.

We were so sorry to see that Dorrie passed away. We send our sincere sympathy to the family.

Dorrie will always have a special place in my heart, along with her husband Henry. I still refer to them as my "unofficial guidance counselors" because they took particular interest in my higher education, recognized my aspirations and abilities, counseled and advised me, and ultimately were instrumental in my attending their (and my) alma mater, Swarthmore College. She will be missed.

Dear Emily and Family,
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Your mother was an amazing person whose accomplishments and legacy are truly remarkable.

Emily and Family, What a remarkable woman your mother was! She will be sorely missed. Peace and comfort to you and your family...

Emily, I have wonderful memories of your wonderful soft spoken mother, Mrs. Leader. My deepest sympathy for your loss. I know that she will be truly missed by the City of York.
