Doris Leathers Obituary
She was a homemaker with true artistic talents. She loved all types of crafting, woodworking, sewing and cross stitching.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anna Rains; and a daughter-n-law, Renee Leathers.
She is survived by her loving husband, David Leathers Sr.; a son, David Leathers Jr.; her grandchildren, John Leathers and Brittany Heffley (Alan); also her great granddaughter, Gwendalynne Hoback.
Her Celebration of Life Service will be noon on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Gabriel the Archangel School for the continuing education of her great-granddaughter; Gwendalynne Hoback. Please visit our website at www.archlheadyresthaven.com.

Oh " aunt Doe"...you were so kind to me when I came to visit dad in 85-86? I loved staying with you...loved going to to that restaurant "top hat"...I never forget how excited and kind you were when you got to meet Jims daughter Cheryl , your niece..and how you yelled at dad for being to hard on me...wish I could've spent more time w/you.I loved your company. I have thought about you often "doe"...my 9 year old son ( Brady J. Tiso) recently passed away from a long 5 yr. Battle with brain cancer. Seems like most everyone is gone now. I miss you and love you.
