Doris J. McKently

I never thought of myself as someone who would join a sorority until I met Doris McKently and Clara Mae Tronowsky. They were inspiring women and proof that life-long friendships exist. And although I lost touch with them over the years, I never forgot either of them and was especially happy to receive Doris' annual holiday cards. When no card came in 2019, a feeling of great sadness came over me and I searched the internet for Doris and, then Clara Mae, to find that they had both passed....

Doris was my aunt through marriage and dear friend for life. I'm saddened she has passed but grateful for all the years I got to spend with her. We had so many lovely conversations, she taught me so many things, and I was the recipient of many of her hand drawn greetings, which I continue to treasure. Her legacy is incredible.
