Doris Concepcion Mead, age 67, of Palm Coast, FL passed away on July 27, 2024, at the Advent Hospital in Daytona Beach, from complications following an Open-Heart Surgery.


Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, August 9, 2024, in the chapel of Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations, 39 Old Kings Rd North, Palm Coast, FL., with Father Jim of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church officiating. The family will receive friends for the visitation prior to the service, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. 


Doris was born on March 11, 1957, in Oka, Tamuning, Guam to Inocencio Perez Concepcion & Maria Camacho Leon Guerrero. She was a graduate of George Washington HS, class of 1975. Doris worked as a buyer for the Navy Resale System, Executive Secretary for the Guam Office of Civil Defense and as an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Education from where she retired after 25 years.  She enjoyed working in the church store on Sundays, cooking, traveling, spending time with her friends & family, and mostly spoiling her grandchildren.


Doris was preceded in death by her mother and father; her brothers, George and Anthony; sisters, Gloria, Marie and Lourdes; her stepson, Sheldon Mead and both her mothers and fathers-in-law.  She is survived by her partner of 40 years, Barry Mead; brother-in-law Ronald and his wife Penny; daughter-in-law, Tina Mead; son, Derik John Mead; two reared sons, Andrew and Donovan; six grandchildren, Derik Avery, Desirae Kai, Destiny Dee, Kasha, David, Samarra; four great grandchildren, Ronin, Matilda, Nora and Amelia; two brothers, Ronald and his wife Caroline, Joseph and his wife Doris; sisters and husbands, June and Wayne Bigler, Carmelita and Roland, and three other sisters, Terry, Ruth and Jane, ten God Children;  some 75 nieces and nephews; and other family, and numerous friends.


The Mead family has entrusted arrangements for Doris to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
