I feel so for you as you experience this loss, and pray that you will find comfort in joyful memories of your lives with her.

From the overnights we spent at your home in Summerville in our early teens, your Mom was the one who kept us on our toes. She didn't cotton to slackers and she did not suffer fools gladly. She was a great role model.

As a child growing up in Summerville, Doris and her late husband, Dr. Roy Meyers, were like family. To us kids, they were Aunt Doris and Uncle Roy and to my dear parents, very best friends. Doris' creative and charitable spirit taught us much about unselfish giving and what it truly meant to be a Woman of Valor.Doris lived by example, setting high and loving standards to us all.
