Doris M. Munroe, 95, of Tiverton, RI, passed away on May 28, 2024.  She was the devoted wife of Paul R. Munroe.


Doris was born in Fall River to Rudolph and Claudia (Leduc) St. Ours.  She is one of fifteen children and survived by her sister Annette Pelland. 


Doris attended local schools and worked in many positions as a personal assistant.  Above all, Doris was a devoted wife and mother.  Family was the most important thing to her.  


She was the mother of Claudia Petres, Paul R. Munroe, Jr. (deceased) & his wife Angelina, Patricia Janiak, Judith & her husband Dennis Gosselin and Deborah Sousa.  She leaves behind 30 beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 


Doris had many hobbies that she enjoyed immensely such as playing cards, sewing, knitting, ceramics, baking and going to the casino.


Visitation will be held on Sunday from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in the BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA.  Doris’ funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00AM in St. Theresa’s Church, Tiverton and followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River, MA.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation, in Doris’ memory, to www.stjude.org or www.foreverpaws.com

My thoughts and prayers go out to all in her family. She was a remarkable woman born to a generation that will never be repeated. We are blessed to have known her.

Lived on the second floor in my building in Tiverton and she was a very nice person to chat with. We all very sad of her passing and may you find the peace and comfort during this difficult time.
