Hello Nachtsheims & All Family,
I’m so sad to learn of Doris’s passing. She was a delightful presence in so many extra gathering opportunities over zoom! As a public school teacher, I paid extra attention to her words to glean any further knowledge or advice from Doris. She will be profoundly missed by her church family, and I’m grateful for the chance to know her better via zoom!! My deepest condolences to you, her beloved family, for your loss.

Aunt Do was one of a kind and this describes her perfectly! She was the aunt who would go along with any zany idea my cousins came up with during our “not often enough” family reunions, and it was those “acts” from our No Talent Talent Show that everyone remembers the most and with such fondness. She was a role model to all of us and through her, our hearts were touched with quiet love. Sending much love to my cousins, Mary Anne, Jani, Dick, and Bob and all The Outlaws and their offspring.

I first met Doris when I was hired to teach at Stead Elementary school in 1976. I was greatly impressed by her continuing search for the best way to teach children and the many innovations that she used successfully ln her classroom and shared with the faculty at Stead
Elementary school in Reno. Through the years I have enjoyed her keen wit, lively curiosity and stories of her travels. I miss Doris and wI'll look back on the many activities we shared together with gratitude.

Doris, you will be sorely missed. You always found things to chuckle about and were such a great listener. You taught me much as a fellow member of DKG. Goodbye dear friend, til I see you again. My heart goes out to your family and loved ones. You never let any grass grow under your feet and looked for adventure and any opportunity to travel.
