My Aunt Doris was a wonderful person who I will always remember dearly. She generously accepted my request to act as my Confirmation sponsor when I became a confirmed Catholic in high school. Doris was a wonderful person to enjoy at family gatherings; she would often be a bit on the quiet side, but if you got her going on a story, watch out! She was always grateful and polite, and I will remember those qualities of her. She had a special ability to work with children and be an important...

We knew Doris through her sister Betty Greene and brother-in-law Bob. She was always there for family gatherings, always the proper lady, the grande dame, but also with a twinkle in her eye if someone was being "naughty." She so loved her family and friends, and was a best friend to her niece, Mary Liz. I can still hear her exclaim, "Oh, Mary..." at some story Mary would be telling. Doris will be missed, but has gone to join her husband and many family and friends who have gone before...
