Doris E. RAMPOLLA

of Tampa,passed away peacefully March 25th, 2016 at the age of 84 with family by her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to Sarasota, FL, and later relocated to Temple Terrace, FL. She was preceded in death by husband, artist Frank Rampolla, and is survived by her devoted son, Ron Rampolla, his wife Heather Rampolla, granddaughters Francesca Rampolla, Selena Rampolla, loving cousin Lucille Benitez. Doris was loved by all that knew her. She was a symbol of love, strength, and gratitude even in adversity. Devotion and unconditional love to family was her core. She earned her Masters in Counseling at USF. She made a difference in her community, especially servicing women, with the The Centre For Women, Child Abuse Council, Mental Health Association, and Project Eve HCC. She received many awards, including being selected as "Florida's Finest" by Governor Lawton Chiles. She was fundamental in preserving, marketing, and procuring grants for the artwork of her late husband, Frank Rampolla. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday March 31st 12pm-2pm with a funeral service to follow at 2pm at Garden of Memories Funeral Home 4207 E. Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Doris' life.
