Doris B. (Domingue) Raney, 88, died Tuesday night at home surrounded by her loving family. Doris was born and raised in Holyoke, the daughter of the late Albert and Josephine (Lague) Domingue, and lived most of her adult life in Chicopee. She was a longtime communicant of St Patrick’s Church. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and vacationing in Maine. Her husband of 61 years, Alvin Raney, died in 2011. Doris was also predeceased by her sister Dorothy Kennedy and her brother Albert. She leaves her children and their spouses James and Linda Raney, Brian and Dawn Raney and Susan and John LaFlamme; a sister Joan Fleming and her husband James and a brother-in-law Raymond Kennedy. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Timothy and his wife Michelle, Dustin, Jessica, Michael, Melissa, Michelle and Ashley and her great grandchildren Shane, Madisyn, Aaron, Jayden, Daniel and Ryan and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the Curran-O’Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley Monday at 9:30 a.m. with Liturgy in St. Patrick’s Church at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held prior to the Mass Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. For more details, please visit curranobrien.com.
