Aunt Dorie was always a delight to be around and although we lived thousands of miles away everytime we got together it was like being home with family each time...time was never the issue she was always there to give us love and made each of us feel like we were apart of the family. Auntie was very generous and supportive. We love you and will miss you. Until we meet again. Love Carrie Reed-Huppert and family.

This is how I remember Doris. As a teenager I was fortunate to visit the "family beach house" in Manasquan. When we realized that we had left the towels (I think) at the house, Charlyn or Laurie and I went back to get them. Doris and Bobby were cuddling on the couch when we came in . We apoligised for interrupting them (Bobby said,"Not yet") and she just smiled radiantly! Iwalked back to the beach hoping that I would someday love a man who could make me that happy.
