Not sure what to say?

To the dear memory of our mother who infused those around her with love and warmth. Thinking of you everyday and lighting a candle on this anniversary of your passing. Loving and missing you! Xo

Knew Doris through a visit she and her family made to The London Library several years ago. Met her only briefly but was impressed with her overwhelming incandescence, which is apparent in the photo above. Her daughter Carey has this special quality as well, and so Doris will live on through her and her family and many friends. Terribly sorry for your loss. With much love, Elizabeth Herridge.

Dear grandma, I strive to uphold your commitment to fight for what you believe in. Thank you for the love and support you gave to my mom and to me.
Love always,
Your granddaughter Aliza

With great sadness interwoven with emotions of gratitude I enter this post. Doris has been a great inspiration to me as I'm certain every woman in her life's adventure. Her kindness, intelligence and fortitude will continue to inspire for many generations. With love and respect, Kathryn

I had the pleasure of learning about the iconic Doris through her daughter Carey who admires my work at the School of Advanced Study here at the University of London. From the lap, Doris taught her lessons which continue to provide strength and vision to women across the world. Bravo Doris !!

My introduction to the late iconic Doris. L.Sassower is through her brilliant daughter Carey who applauds my work at the School of Advanced Study, University of London, reaffirming the critical role women play in solidifying legal structures and state craft hood this lesson she learned in the lap of a wonderful super woman who will be definitely missed here in London as in New York!

My dearest aunt Doris, wordsmith, warrior, wonderwoman, was not afraid of obstacles or challenges. One day, in her passionate and determined way, she chose to send a song I wrote to composer Alan Menken, who called me personally after hearing it.
I am now dedicating the song One Heart' to her, with all my love.

In my heart, there is a place for you,
Always and for ever
We're worlds apart,
Yet here I am with you,
Dancing here together...

Shining like a diamond in...

Like my mother, Cousin Doris served as a model of a successful professional woman in a generation among whom this was a rare breed. She was always beautiful, vibrant, incisive, and unafraid to challenge the status quo. She was an innovative thinker who encouraged me in my own studies and career. I'll miss her.

Grandma Doris worked hard for nearly her entire life in order to support her family, especially her grandchildren, without any regard to daunting challenges she faced along the way. Her devotion to family, law, and her vision of a good world were an inspiration. Her selflessness was matched by her brilliance and loving deeds. She leaves behind a legacy in the family that loved her so much and misses her even more dearly. Grandma was always there for us and we will always remember her.
