I knew Grandma Silvas because several of her grandchildren were in my class at Encinal School. She was almost always the one that picked them up from school for appointments and such. She was such a sweet lady and always had a smile on her face! She was an institution at Encinal for years as she came to all the activities to support her grandchildren. She was definitely the rock of that family! My condolences, love, and prayers to all my former students and the rest of Doris’ family as well....

I remember calling her on her 90th birthday. Had never met or talked to her before but it was a milestone birthday so when Sharon asked I did not hesitate. What a joy she was, felt like I know her for years. Rest in peace you were a beautiful soul and it shows in your family. Condolences to the family. xoxoxo The Yustat's

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

I first met "Grandma Doris", as I knew her, through my employment. We knew we could always depend upon her to help her children and grandchildren along their educational way. She was a gentle, soft spoken, and very kind person. I know she is already greatly missed by those of us knew her and loved her. She was a true blessing! My deepest sympathy to all her family.

Our family loves her, she is a wonderful lady. She always had a smile and a hug for anyone. She was a gift to all. Love you auntie I will miss you

See You Soon
By Jen Carpenter

No more of her tiny laughs
No more of her soft prayers filling my ears
She is but a spirit now
But a spirit that sheds no tears
She is free to see her children now
That rest in heaven with her too
She is our guardian angel now
With a body made anew
No more suffering, no more struggles
Just her whispers in the wind
We will miss you every second Gram
Until we meet again.... j
