I had the pleasure of working with Doris at DOL in the late seventies and early eighties and was impressed by her warmth, intelligence, and good nature. I know you will miss her. I hope the good memories of her will give you comfort now and in the years to come.

Doris was my supervisor when she was manager of the Juneau Employment Center. But she was also more than that. She truly was a friend and I enjoyed working for and with her. Her managerial style was easy-going, but she got us to do what needed to be done--not by badgering, but by loving.
My sympathies go out to her family, and I pray for your peace and comfort.

Kathryn and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I really loved Doris and Bob and will remember them forever. They were my Alaska Mom and Dad.
