Not sure what to say?

I’m so saddened to hear of Doris’s passing. I was looking forward to her annual Christmas card. Doris was our neighbor on Sweetbook Rd. for 5 years back in 2001. She was there when our first two kids were born, and was always so kind and sweet. I’ll never forget the time she had us over for lasagna. She will be truly missed. Elizabeth & Dave Yeserski

Doris was a cornerstone at ELC, she was my Sunday School teacher, Bible School teacher and a leader among people of all ages. My parents (Olaf and Doris Nygren) spent many a good times with Doris and Bob and also thought so highly of them. Rest in peace Doris, I know you're in Heaven with your husband and my parents. You were always so kind, patient, and understanding.

Although Doris left the Advance many years ago, I still remember her vividly from our time together there. She was such a lovely person; lively, intelligent and warm. May she rest in peace.

Wonderful co-worker and dear friend, enjoyed her wisdom and sense of humor. Visited with her after her retirement from the SI Advance and reminisced about our memories from the newspaper. Missed her when she moved away. Great lady! RIP my dear friend...

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Doris....my cousin in Arizona got the news from the Staten Island Advance.
Doris and I were best friends at Eltingville Lutheran Church and we raised our children together. I am sure there is a special place in heaven for her.
My sincere condolences to her family.
My name at Eltingville Lutheran was Carol Cullen, I have since re-married and am now Carol Graham in Tulsa, OK.
