Doris Ann Goodlett Stratton, 79, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024 in Lexington, KY.  Doris was born June 2, 1944 in Louisville, KY to the late James Silbert Goodlett and Evelyn Pulliam Goodlett.


Doris was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Versailles, KY.  She was a homemaker, loved being on the go, and her family was everything to her.


Doris is survived by her children, Angela Evans and Anthony Stratton, both of Lawrenceburg and Thomas L. Burns of Beaumont, TX; her brother, Wayne Goodlett (Cathy) of Lawrenceburg; her sister, Serena Collins of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren, Chelsea Carey, Koscha Cossey, Zackary Burns and Lilly Burns; and several great grandchildren.


Including her parents, Doris was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Scott Carey; and grandsons, Chance Burns and Caige Burns.


Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Slone officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 – 8 P.M., Tuesday and after 9 A.M. Wednesday until the service at 11 A.M.


Casket bearers will be Jamie Goodlett, Glenn Goodlett, Brock Hawkins, Kelan Collins, Jamin Collins and Josh Stansbury.

My hear breaks for you Angie! I know y’all were close! There’s nuttin I can say or do, to ease your pain, but if ya need anything, I’m here for ya! Much love & hugs!

Angie & family, my heart goes out to you at this time. My Mother has been gone 15 yrs & I still ache to hear her Voice or see her face. There are times I almost pick up phone to call her. She was my best friend. You & Doris were even closer. I wish I could take your pain away but it never goes away! Just know she’ll always be with you living in your heart! ♥ God Bless U!!

Prayers and condolences for the family not only now but in the days ahead. Mrs. Stratton was the sweetest lady, that I always loved checking out when she'd come in the dollar tree.

Doris will be missed by many including The Church of God Of Prophecy. Her personality and laughter was contagious. She had many funny stories to share. So much fun to be around. Tommy, Angie and Anthony, always remember the fond memories you have of her? and there are many. She is now where we all long to be. Precious memories until we meet again in heaven.
