Doris was as wonderful as anyone could be. It was an honor to know her.

Your patronage of New Haven History and the preservation of our and the Townshend family heritage is missed today more than ever. You were a treasure of New Haven and the East Shore!

The tradition of community service and pride in our local history will not be seen again. Both Mr & Mrs Townshend served their neighbors and city. Every year , they are missed more for that great example

Your love and commitment to your adopted hometown should be an inspiration to young folks. Hopefully, your like may come along again to grace our New Haven! Rest in Peace.

I came into the Townshend family as Pam and Hervey Townshend's close friend. Deb and Harry included me and eventually my husband and daughters, into their homes and around their tables.
I will always be grateful to them for their generosity of spirit.
I will always remember Deb's wonderful laugh and enthusiasm with life.
RIP Deb, you had a grand life and family.

I can picture Deb and Harry and children sitting in front to the left of us in Center Church. My mother, Barbara Pitcher spoke of her often as they did various things together.
