Double edge memories
When Mom was an RN she had among her in-home care patients a man whose body clock was off: up at night, asleep in the daytime, etc. so she altered her own schedule. She lived long enough to have her own body clock affected. When she was at one of the larger care home facilities, she often arose from sleep about 3 a.m. and made her way down to the kitchen/dining area to wait hours for the staff to arrive and start her day with coffee and breakfast.

Mom was a great inspiration to many, especially to my friends who pursued gardening after visiting our Rancho Santa Fe home in the 70's through the 80's. Her natural insight and ability to understand needs was reflected in the gardens she developed with Dad. She is missed, but we know she is in a happy place now.
