Doris Ann Varney

     Doris Ann Varney, 81, of Turkey Creek, Ky. passed away Thursday November 2, 2017, at Tug Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born June 14, 1936 at Johns Creek, KY, to the late Bill Runyon and Edna Leedy Runyon. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie J. Varney, one brother, Robert Lewis Runyon and one sister, Alma McQuire. She was a seamstress, the Proprietor of Varney Kitchens and a member of the Williamson Area Church of Christ.

     She is survived by her children, Geneva (Roger) Runyon of Barboursville, WV, Lonnie J. (Elaine) Varney Jr. of Charleston, WV, and Wendell (Felicia) Varney of Pinsonfork, KY. She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy (Annabelle) Runyon, of Turkey Creek, KY, sisters, Emma French, of South Williamson, KY, Jo Marie Pollis of Stone, KY, and Blanche Walker of Johns Creek, KY. Grandchildren, Shane Runyon, Jennifer Runyon, Leslie Varney, Kasey Varney, William Varney, Erin Paige Cable and Austin Dotson, nine great grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.

     Funeral services will be conducted 2 PM Sunday November 5, 2017, at R. E. Rogers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY. with Shane Runyon, Austin Dotson, Isaac Runyon, Kasey Varney, William Varney and Roger Runyon serving as pallbearers.
