Not sure what to say?

20 years! I found letters written by Doris to my late mom, Jane. In them she lists the birds that are returning for the Spring and the flowers that are blooming in their yard. I can hear her voice in those letters. I wonder if emails will evoke the same response 20 years from now! RIP Doris:)

Doris made the best cookies all the time, but especially for Christmas holidays. She made these Chocolate covered peanut butter balls that I dream about still. And a date cookie that my father loved. And she did the fashion displays for the Museum which were fabulous. I miss her:)

As a former Director and current Board member of the Fort Plain Museum, I have significant memories of the kindness and support shown by Doris and her sisters to me as a young professional, and of her continued support of and interest in the museum and its goals over the past several decades. Rest well.

Mardi, I am very sorry to hear of your loss my prayers are with you and your family at this time I enjoyed visting your Aunts up in Fort Plain and the great museum stories etc.

From Melanie Delf, friend of Mardi Wetterau: You and your family are in my prayers.

From myself and on behalf of my mother, Jane Fineour Pratt who was Doris' niece and longtime correspondent, I will remember Doris as a witty, kind and intelligent woman. She had a talent for finding beauty in the world as well as making things beautiful.
