Dear Mom -

Two weeks, and the fact you are not here is almost surreal. This isn't supposed to happen - not to you, not to our family.

We're hangining in there, and Dad is amazing. He is the type of man I wish I could be. Somehow, he can still fix anything. I'm sure you are as proud of him as we are.

Watch over him, and us, and know that not even death can dim the bright light that you are, nor the love your family has for you.

We are so sad to hear the new of Dorris passing. She was such an amazing woman-always bright and smiling. We are happy to have met her and to have been able to call her a friend. She was our favorite at the restaurant. A true sweetheart. She will bring many smiles to those in heaven and will look over your family I'm sure. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. May she rest peacefully.
