She was predeceased by her mother, Doris Leone, her father, John W. Ackerson and a niece, Amber Harrison.

Doris is survived by her siblings: Dorothy Harrison, John L. Ackerson, James D. Ackerson, Jennifer W. Ackerson-Nola and Philip Nola.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Sherry Ackerson-Andrew and Marc Andrew, Holly Steele and Stephen Frye, Tanya Harrison, Danny, Samantha, Alexa Ackerson, Ryan, Myles Ackerson, Machey and Pongo Ackerson-Nola; and great nieces and great nephews: Ian Andrew, Zachary Steele, Summer, Eli, Brenda, Josie, Ruby-Jane Steele, Annabelle, Van-Anthony Harrison; and great, great niece and nephew: Kira-Mae and Noah.

Doris was a lifelong Philadelphia resident, enjoying an independent life in the Center City/Rittenhouse Square area.  She was employed as a legal secretary for most of her career.  She mostly enjoyed spending time and caring for her family.  She loved Mint Juleps and would comment "I looooove it" when finding a new restaurant, doll, delicacy or memento.  She was an avid collector of dolls and had the most beautiful museum-like apartment in Philadelphia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday 10 to 11:30 AM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, 820 Haddon Ave., Collingswood, NJ.  Funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM.  Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ.
