Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

I never forgot what a wonderful teacher he was. I graduated back in 1981! RIP Dorn you were a very wise man and a super educator!

Dear Joan an Dria, I had thought that I had signed the guest book earlier, but apparently not. Please accept my deepest sympathy in the loss of a wonderful husband and dad, and human being!!! I have so many wonderful memories that I will cherish and have passed on to my children about Dorn and his family and life experiences!!! I will miss him always! Love cousin Nancy Dee

Love and prayers for you, Aunt Joan and Cousin Dria. I will so miss passing our family information back and forth and hunting all of the missing links with Dorn. He was my inspiration, and I wouldn't have the fascination for genealogy, the interest in writing or the love for art that I do, were it not for him.

Dorn was an excellent teacher, innovator
and a friend to all.
Joan, sorry for your loss.

The neat thing about taking classes from Dorn was……..Some of the stuff would sink back into your brain, and would pop out when you needed it. "Oh, yeah! I learned that from Dorn!"

I think Edinboro should name an art building Howlett Hall. Dorn influenced so many people while he taught there.

Dria, I am so sad to hear of the passing of your father. You and your family are in my thoughts during this difficult time.

Sympathies to Family.. What a nice fellow.. it was always a pleasure..

Joan, my condolences to you and your family. I remember warmly my time with Dorn as a colleague in the art department and both of you as friends who shared some good parties and connections in our early days of teaching.

My deepest condolences to Dria and Joan. Dorn was a remarkable man and it was an honor to have known him.
