Mrs. Buzzard was my social studies teacher 2nd-6th grade at Bates Elementary in Tulsa Public Schools. I have fond memories of her as a teacher. Despite her petite stature she had a powerful presence. Often I have thought of her when I am teaching my students a skill or lesson that has to do with social studies. I know that she touched many people's lives throughout her years in education.
