Although I knew Don better because of his rowing prowess. We always met Dorothy who made so many of the journeys with Don. I can look out my window and see the Don Alden 8+ on the racks at the Sacramento State Aquatic Center and think of both of them fondly.

I met Dorothy while employed at Raley Field as a Guest Attendant. She was a gracious, friendly, and caring lady. We became friends to the extent that she also invited us to join her in the suite that she purchased for one of the games. After she moved, we would often exchange emails and ecards. I will miss her. My deepest sympathies to her family on their loss. May she RIP.

On days I wouldn't be working she sometime would invite me to a game where we would have great fun watching the River Cats, sharing stories and eating licorice.
One of the fond memories I have is when she invited me to a Suite at the River Cats and along with many of her friends there.
Dorothy and I kept in touch after she moved to...
