Not sure what to say?

The funeral Mass and reception to honor our mom Dorothy Fahrlaender Baker will be: Saturday, April 2nd 11 am Sacred Heart Catholic Church 3910 SE 11th Ave, Portland, Oregon 97202

Dorothy was a wonderful, giving person. When I was League president, she came to the office weekly to file all of the correspondence and news articles from the past week. Without her help, we would not have much of a history.

Sending our love to Tom, Kat and the Baker family. We know that Dorothy will be missed, but present in your hearts and stories, especially when enjoying a slice of cherry pie.

My Mom and I want to send her love and heartfelt condolences to the Baker family. She and Dorothy were friends for over 70 years.

Condolences to the family of Dorothy Baker from the League of Women Voters of Portland. Dorothy joined the League in 1956 and became a LIFE member (50 years as a member) in 2015 and continued her membership for the rest of her life. Dorothy is remembered fondly by League members. One member who knew Dorothy in the late 1970s wrote that "she was such a wonderful woman. She was very modest and unassuming but also had an inner strength that came through. She came into the League office when...

Knowing Maggie, I'm absolutely certain her Mother Dorothy was a great Mom. My love and prayers for Maggie and all who loved Dorothy. Having read Dorothy´s beautiful obituary, I´m certain she has no need for my prayers. She has already joined all those she loved who have gone before her.

Dorothy was a member of the same Lake Oswego Scrabble club we belonged to. Her late husband, Frank, used to help with running tournaments. Dorothy was a lovely sweet woman who was a fierce Scrabble competitor (I´m quite sure she´d enjoy being remembered that way too), Rest in peace Dorothy. M

I played scrabble with Mary over many years since 2008 when I entered my first scrabble tourney in Oregon. She was always a supportive and kind soul. She was also quietly competitive and sharp as a tack thru the last games we played in 2018. She will be missed, but remembered fondly :-) peace joanna

My Deepest sympathies to the family. A fellow Scrabble player.
