Dorothy Bassett

Dorothy has been my close friend for 35 years. She was always seeking ways to help me and my family. She was a sweet spirit and the best neighbor anyone could hope for. I miss her now and will miss her always. Rest In Peace my loving friend!

I have had the privilege of being Dorothy's friend since 1982 when I entered Dental School . I was attracted to the light that surrounded her. Her smile, her love, her service was that light. She has blessed my life with all of these qualities. She was an Angel to me in lifting me up and giving me encouragement through some difficult times in my life. I will always love her for that.

I first met Dorothy when I started working at UT Dental Branch in 1987, she was my supervisor, after retiring she came back to UTDB to work part time, she was my co-worker, but most importantly she was a dear friend.
Dorothy was the BEST Radiology Technician, there was not a patient she could not handle nor a view she could not capture. Faculty, staff, residents and students knew they could count on "Ms. Bassett" for help with their difficult patient/view.

I have Dorothy for over thirty years and worked with her for over 15 years along with several other colleagues. She was a kind, kind person who would stop at nothing and often in relentless fashion, to help people in a time of need. I can recall her carrying and hugging my children when they were infants and toddlers and how they referred to her as their Aunt Dorothy.

Bless the soul of this kind, caring and sweet Aunt Dorothy. May Russell and Maria be spared further...

Dorothy was one of the kindest, most generous and loving people I've known. She was such a blessing to my family and we will miss her sweet spirit very much.
